Anti-Hoot – 3/3/14
I went along to another open mic night at Henry’s Cellar Bar.
Lach kicked the proceedings off with a couple of songs.
I performed the same poem that I did at Soapbox, albiet with a couple of minor changes and then read a poem I wrote many years ago called ‘In The Eyes of the Poet‘, which I thought was a good follow on one.
Nicole Strachan played a couple of songs on her Ukulele and mentioned that she will be editing a new fanzine for Henry’s Cellar Bar. A few days she later she said she would like to interview my good self for it and indeed I have returned the answers to her questions.
The launch night for the magazine will be on the 1st of April. Yeah, exactly. 😉
The Picnic Mountain ladies were one of the acts that made it through to the final.
The other qualifiers were called Hope and Hunter.
It was another fun night and many more great acts. I didn’t even get the chance to do a second shorter set as there were enough entries for each act only to get one performance. The Anti-hoot seems to be growing in reputation every week and going from strength to strength. Long may it continue….
