Ellis Birthday Day Out

Instead of buy my son a present for his birthday I decided to take him out to show him some of the real Scotland.  I started by taking him to an antique fair close to Dunblane.

Emma came along for the ride too.

There was a quite impressive range of items in the place but most of them out of our price range.  Emma enjoyed looking at the old cameras as she collects them herself…….not that day though.

We then carried on to Balquhidder to see Rob Roy’s Grave and were met by these two volunteers who were cleaning his grave and some other parts of the cemetery.

We then popped into the Church where Emma gave us a sermon all about Jesus an’ that.

On the way back home we stopped at Loch Lubnaig so my son could feel the beauty of the wee bit hills and glen.

Of course you can’t pass back through Callander without stopping off for a Chippy.

Check out the video footage below.

Hope you enjoyed the day out as much as we did. My son even agreed that the time spent together was better than getting a new iphone (well almost).

Just show’s ye what your children really need…..love.
