The Waterboys – 7/8/19
I have been a fan of The Waterboys ever since ‘This Is The Sea’ came out many years ago and had Mike Scott play a solo gig at The Barrowland but never seen him play there under The Waterboys name which he reinstated as I think it was a more recognisable brand.
Neil Young Tribute Night
I was looking for something to do on a Friday evening when I spotted an event called ‘Only Leith Can Break Your Heart’ which was a Neil Young tribute night at a venue called The Village in Leith and indeed it was part of the Leith Festival.
John Anaya Duo
After the fabulous Neil Young Tribute Night I went back through to Edinburgh the following evening for an Americana night but when I got to the Bar there didn’t seem to be any sign of it.
Aaron Wright with Support
I met Aaron when I was through in Edinburgh to see The Media Whores at Bannermans and he was playing in the adjacent room before they came on.
Jimmy Cliff
I had bought 2 tickets to go and see the Reggae legend that is Jimmy Cliff at BaAD in Glasgow and although my son is not a particular fan of Reggae he was designated as my accompaniment for the evening, seeing as how I couldn’t find anyone else who wanted to purchase the other ticket.
Thee Oh Sees
A while ago I purchased tickets to see John Grant on Gumtree as the venue had sold out.
