Throwing Muses – Glasgow Garage
I saw Throwing Muses about 30 years ago in Glasgow before Kristen Hersh released her first solo record and having heard their new album online I bought tickets to see them again, although the line up isn’t the same one as back then, as she now has her son on Bass guitar for a start.
Mogwai – Barrowlands
I took my son to see Mogwai a couple of years ago and Emma was sad not to go, so I did the honourable thing and bought tickets for their current tour so she could get the Mogwai experience in full effect.
Francis Rossi
I got a last minute ticket to see Francis Rossi who of course played in Status Quo who I did see at the SECC many years ago.
Puddles Pity Party
Emma is a big fan of Puddles Pity Party and after watching a few of his cover versions I thought he was pretty cool too. We missed tickets for his previous tour as it sold out pretty quickly but Emma was on it this time to make sure we didn’t miss out.
The Pogues – Glasgow Barrowland
Of course The Pogues can never be the real Pogues without Shane MacGowan, even though they did have Joe Strummer in the band for a while but when they announced this tour to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Rum, Sodomy and The Lash, I had to get a ticket.
Acid Mothers Temple – Mono Cafe Bar
I saw Acid Mothers Temple over 20 years ago in Edinburgh and it was an epic experience, so every time I see they are touring and I can get tickets, I make sure I am there. This was my fourth time of seeing them and Emma’s third.
