Every gig I’ve been to — reviews, photos and memories from live music over the years
Latest Concerts
Teenage Fanclub – Kelvin Bandstand
I had never been to a gig at Kelvingrove Bandstand before and, if I’m being honest, I wasn’t entirely convinced it was the sort of venue I’d enjoy.
Os Mutantes – Oran Mor
Os Mutantes to me seemed like a band there were of a distant past whom I would never get the chance to see live, much like the band Love who I saw, who only had Arthur Lee from the original band, Os Mutantes only have Sérgio Dias but he carries the spirit of the band well and obviously chooses bandmates who can do the original band justice.
The Doobie Brothers – OVO Hydro
I have a complicated relationship with the OVO Hydro.
Bill Callahan – Oran Mor
I’ve been a fan of Bill Callahan for a very long time.
Osees – Liquid Room – Edinburgh
I had previously taken my son to see Osees, although I can’t honestly remember what they were calling themselves at the time.
Bad Nerves – King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut
Some bands take years to win you over.

- Bruce Springsteen — Stadium of Light — The Boss. Three hours. Every penny worth it.
- PJ Harvey — Glasgow — One of the greatest live performers I’ve ever seen.
