Goodbye Mr Mackenzie
As I explained in a previous blog where I videoed The Filthy Tongues, I met the singer songwriter from that band, Martin Metcalfe, back in 2011 when he told me he used to be in Goodbye Mr Mackenzie.
Counterfeit Sixties
My son is mainly into Heavy Metal but I thought I would try and educate him on Sixties music by taking him along to a Sixties Cover Band night in Falkirk Town Hall which is fairly close to where we live in Bo’ness.
James – 18/3/19
I have taken my son to quite a few gigs since we have returned to Scotland and I asked if he was interested in going to see James at the Usher Hall in Edinburgh.
Tangerine Dream
When I saw that the legendary German band Tangerine Dream were playing in Glasgow I checked out some of their recent live gigs on youtube and decided I needed to get tickets, perhaps as an anti-dote to the Heavy Metal gigs I have been going to with my son recently.
Brit Floyd – 15/3/19
After taking my son to see Tangerine Dream the previous night, this time I told him were were going to Glasgow to pick up a poster I wanted to keep as a memento for a gig I performed in at Nice’N’Sleazy which was apparently still up on the wall, at least according to Oliver Pissed, who organised the gig.
John Grant – 1/2/19
I noticed only yesterday that John Grant was due to play in Glasgow and it said on facebook that it was sold out so I went to look for tickets on Gumtree.
