We took a trip into Kaleiçi to discover that a big stage had been set up to celebrate the anniversary of the birth of Turkey with a concert in the evening. We paid a visit to a house that Atatürk had stayed in for about six days and then went to the Secret Garden pub before going back to the concert area.
I refused to get my back searched to enter the gated area so we had to stand at the side to view the concert. That didn’t stop Emma taking lots of footage though.
