I am so sorry your brother died last night
After three weeks he had no more fight
He wanted to go and that was his right
It was too hard to resist that tunnel of light
I wish I could bring some life back to him
Or feed him sweets so he won’t go thin
Look out for your mum, your next of kin
She is drinking to avenge this terrible sin
I am too numb to cry so cousin hold tight
Promise to phone so I know you’re alright
In the war-torn city everyone has a plight
I hope you learned all from the burial sight
I wish I could breathe some air into him
Or see him pushing out your wheely bin
Try to hide all your mum’s bottles of gin
She is desperate to bury the pain within
I am so shocked your mother lost her might
After the news I turned whiter than white
She obviously decided that her life was shite
Not thinking straight about her one delight
I wish I could be a cushion for every pin
Or give you a reason for you to believe in
There is nothing to say, no words I can spin
No guns will help in the war you must win
Cheers!
