Don’t our parent’s look silly in the sixties?
Now stupid optimism has left their faces
They did have spirit like in an old-time movie
I wish I knew them when they were groovy

Why do the young always want to rebel?
And the old put them down to keep them in jail?
I know it seems pointless on your own
But together we can build a new throne

Don’t our parents want the same as us?
When you get old it is polite not to fuss
They watch the news and they believe
Sometimes I wish they were not so naïve

Why do the young fight while they hope?
The old don’t care for they are doped
I know it’s hard with kids of your own
But a family unit cannot survive alone

Don’t our parents think about our future?
What is best for us, even we are not sure
No options in parasite politicians manifestos
Sometimes I wish friends could trust foes

Why do the young not care when they steal?
The old demand harsh penalties with zeal
I know that living beats death on your own
So find a reason to replace your mobile phone

Cheers!
