Robert Knox Interview

I met Robert Knox at an open mic night in 1999 when I first started performing comedy. He read a literary piece he had written and I was no doubt experimenting with my comedy act.  We lost touch for a number of years but through the miracle of facebook he got in touch with me again.

Last year, I saw that he had written a book called Magnetic Fields and as I had enjoyed his performance all those years ago, I ordered his book and got it sent to Turkey.

During the interview below I mention that it is an excellent toilet book and indeed, it was the book I was reading when I tried to get up off the toilet and got two hernia in my lower spine last year, but I won’t hold that against him.

He came to see the last show of my run at last years Edinburgh Festival, where I performed as Nob Stewart, and after the gig we went outside for this quick interview.

Magnetic Fields

As I mention in the interview, I enjoyed the book a lot but after reading it was still not much wiser as to what it was all about. It is a bit nuts to say the least but then again, so am I, so it was right up my street.

Click the link to purchase Magnetic Fields by Robert Knox. There is also a Kindle version available.  He is currently writing a new book. I’m looking forward to reading it although I probably won’t take this one to the toilet, just in case he’s a jinx.

Jagermeister Bar Trick

Here is a clip of a bar trick taken from the same night that Robert came to see me, and in which he makes a brief appearance.

Cheers!
