Ma guid pals Banu and Rob Jacklin whae along wi’ Tina and Ersin Ozturk an’ masel run the Antalya Expats Social Group, organised a Halloween Party at Shakers Pub.

In the couple ae months that the facebook group has been runnin’ we hiv accumulated ower 200 members an’ although we hae organized a few othir events in the past such as Beach Days, Oktoberfest Gathering, Turkish Lessons an’ a Pool Competition, this event was by far the biggest yet and wiz keenly anticipated.

Unfortunately Tina and Ersin couldnae make it and so it has tae be said that Banu and Rob done the Lions share ae the organizing cause a’ jist turned up on the nicht, but Yaşar, whae owns Shakers Pub, where the event was held, also done his bit by pittin’ up decorations and promoting it on his facebook page.

For ma part, aw a’ had tae dae wiz tae host the competition for the best costume and sort oot the Karaoke.

A’ wiz also goin’ tae DJ but Yaşar also provided yin so we took it in turns tae ficht ower whae’s songs tae play. A’ provided the Pop classics while Mehmet played more modern pishy dance songs.

This wiz the furst time a’ laid ma eyes upon ma future wife. She sayz that when she saw ma ootfit she kent a’ wiz the man fur her. Pare lass.

There wiz lots ae great costumes but we narrowed the best yin’s doon tae the following bunch afore choosing the the winners.

Well the organizer won the Fancy Dress competition. A’ dinnae ken if that is morally richt but Banu wiz a deserved winner an’ she got tae take home the prize she brought for the winner.
