When Joe was young, he liked to act daft
He would get drunk, have a laugh
All his mates they acted the same
But Molly made Joe change that game
Here was a woman, so divine
She could turn water into wine
You could see love all over their faces
They didn’t care that they were from different races
But more than a few had a problem with this
And the fact they were together since their first kiss
He asked here nicely to take his hand
So she left her family back in her homeland
They were good for each other it was plain to see
Together they easily just let themselves be
As a new couple they had dreams and ambition
Sometimes they worked separately to achieve their mission
A lot of big decisions were made on the way
Risking almost everything for a better day
He reassured her everything would be alright
She was a born natural bright guiding light
Success came to them and no-one deserved it more
They also found truth, while knocking on the door
Now each one is a leader in their chosen field
It took some time but their crops did yield
Starting a family was now the main plan
This was the last step in making young Joe a man
Still, they had work pressures and long-distance travel
But at such a good family unit, you just had to marvel
When the children grew up to be their own people
In the life of Joe and Molly this left a little hole
They stopped to look back on what they had done
They were as proud as punch, with regrets? No, not one
