I am asking myself a lot of questions
About what some preachers have to say
They say the world is only six thousand years old
God gets a lot of work done in one day
When they talk about this thing called God
Just what exactly are they referring to?
Some old man who sits on a cloud
Who spends all day watching us screw?
They also say that the powers that be are demonic
They worship god’s fallen angel Lucifer
Who when he fell turned into Satan
And who turns every follower into a gofer
He gets them to do his dirty work
So that he may have dominion over the Earth
So called intelligent people go along with him
Despite the fact he is not known for his mirth
That is what I can’t get my head around
Why do these people choose to serve?
The darkness that is now all pervasive
Must be resisted in spite of its verve
These preachers claim they have the answer
To how our sins can be absolved
If we accept Jesus Christ as the saviour
All of our problems can be resolved
He will give us the Holy Spirit inside us
To stand up and do what needs to be done
Becoming a born-again Christian
Hell, may even be a whole load of fun
But then they go and spoil their argument
By saying the world is only six thousand years old
That it is the centre of the known universe
Which is ridiculous going by what I have been told
But the god of science on the other hand
Has a few flaws in it’s little big bang theory
And the drugs it offers you for depression
Do not exactly make you overly cheery
So I will keep on listening and questioning
With an open mind and a critical ear
To the preachers who speak from the heart
Not priests who install you with fear
Because all these Bible believing people
Can’t be all stark raving mad
They have kept the faith for two thousand years
So you can’t very well call it a fad
The lengths theVatican has went to
To try and claim Jesus as their own
To me is a huge pointed finger
Saying through him is the way to gods throne
We just have to decipher the truth
Which through all the lies is hard to do
Because let’s face it people these days
Will believe almost anything is true
So as I dig deeper into my research
I will keep you informed of my progress
Hopefully if there is a merciful god
He will look down upon me and bless
