The Boo Radleys were performing an album called Giant Steps in full, which I saw them perform songs from on the original tour thirty years ago at King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut, as well as a few more gigs in the following years.

I thought there was plenty time to buy tickets for the gig but it sold out really quick. Fortunately they added their first ever Matinee show and when we got to the Hug and Pint we realised why it had sold out quickly as it is even smaller than the aforementioned KTWWH.

They were without their former songwriting partner and guitarist Martin Carr but their stand in sure did a fine job, as did their support acts, the second one of which was The Martial Arts.

Here if the full gig from the front row. Can’t ask for better than that. Enjoy the matinee!
