I had never been to the Kelvingrove Bandstand and wasn’t too sure if I wanted to go to a gig there but Teenage Fanclub playing there convinced me to get tickets and thankfully the weather was nice enough to enjoy it without getting drenched, like what happened the last time they played there, at least according to the main songwriter Norman Blake, as he mentioned that at the start of the gig.
Support came from Constant Follower.
I couldn’t get away early from work but was pleasantly surprised to find that there was still space in the front row when we arrived. I would have stood up from the start but Emma was happy with the seat. We were ready though that when someone did go to the front, we jumped up and went to the barrier before we lost our prime position.
