Ok, welcome tae the Nob TV section of ma website where a’ will be posting some o’ ma favourite internet music and video clips wi’ a wee introduction by ma guid self.
So, here we go. Ma first post is a music video by Patti Smith. It is a song called Gloria
fae her first album Horses
.
This was the first time the record buying public heard Patti Smith and this song was the first track on the album with the best opening line of any song ever.
‘Jesus died for somebody’s sins but not mine’. Ye really cannae beat that.
The rest of the album is pure quality as well and is highly recommended.
A’ recorded this introduction some time ago and a’ wiz referring tae a version ae this song that wiz on Saturday Night Live and although that is a guid version fae back in the day a’ recently discovered this version performed on The Jools Holland Show in 2007 with just Lenny Kaye and crew backin’ her up.
A’ ‘hink it is absolutely top notch as most everyhin’ that Patti does is but here she is really enjoyin’ it tae the max.
