It was Saturday so I asked my son where he wanted to go, The Cinema, The Park, The Beach for a Swim or A Walk in the Mountains. The last one must have jogged his memory to the time I took him to a river at the far end of Konyaalti and he asked to go back there.
I took him a bit further along the River this time to a small waterfall where I had visited before with Ellen.
I asked his mother to make him a packed lunch and fortunately she put some peanut butter sandwiches and a banana in the bag for me also. As soon as I got there, I sat down to eat while my son explored the terrain.
There was a guy sitting down by the Waterfall and when he saw me eating he offered some small organic cucumbers and cherry tomatoes, which I happily accepted. The tomatoes were super tasty and later I got my son to give his banana to the guy as he wasn’t going to eat it. It is always nice to reciprocate kindness.
My son had climbed onto this rock and had threatened to jump onto the next one and try to make his way across the river. If I was his age I’d have wanted to do the same but I have turned into a semi-responsible adult and told him not to, mainly because I didn’t want his mothers wrath if he had fallen in.
My son spent some time chasing a Lizard into rocks and taking photos and videos of it while I relaxed by the waterfall. We then went for a walk and explored the area a bit further.
It is a lovely spot to visit for a picnic and there were a few other people coming and going throughout the day.
Just before we left these ladies arrived and took more than a few selfies while the men they were with were getting the Barbeque going.
On the road to the Waterfall sits the Antalya Choppers Club House. You can stop there for a tea and it has a nice eating area to enjoy the beautiful view.
My son wasn’t used to fresh air and so leaned on my back with his helmet all the way home. Thankfully he didn’t fall asleep and we made it home in one piece.
He then went straight to bed for a lay down. I don’t kids these days eh? They don’t know they’re born.

Cheers!
