As I mentioned in my last video blog I started a new job helping a guy sell Turkish goods online on Ebay and Etsy.
One of the people who my new boss worked with was Ali, who owns this shop in the Grand Bazzar of Marmaris.
First thing is first when you visit any shop when you are there to do business is to drink some Turkish Çay. I never got any on my first visit there though because they guy who works in the Bazaar and normarlly delivers it was apparently on one of his once monthly benders and thus was too inebriated to work. Fortunately on my second visit he was on the ball.
One of the main items we were selling were Turkish Killim’s which are used as cushion covers.
Ali and my boss Joe are in the background here, still drinking tea and talking business but as you can see the shop has a lot of other interesting items for sale. The hanging mosaic lamps is also something else that we focus on selling.
Aynur’s mother, Aysun, also has a shop called Duş Sanat which sells handmade ceramic items which she makes. Aynur was in her shop and made me the necklace I am wearing here but the hat that is for sale I think is an old Turkish Shaman style.
I think this one looks pretty good on Aynur myself.
Upstairs he sells Turkish Rugs of which there are quite a few. I loved the smell of them.
I love most of the things for sale in the shop and my boss agreed a deal to sell them all online. So if you take a look through the photos below and would like to purchase anything please let me know and I can arrange it for you if it is still in the shop.

Cheers!
