The birds are singing and my head is spinning
The leaves are beginning to form on the trees
Springtime in my heart makes me want to shine too
Another day passes by while I’m pursuing my dream
My skin so white, the lack of fresh air
I’ve chosen to live this life all alone
My need far greater, my desire too strong
I pray to myself that this is not all in vain
I live for the future and survive in the present
When clouds pass over and turn blue into grey
I look forward to summer when I hope to find peace
The truth of the seasons brings time forever changing
The knowledge of this means I can change too
I can fly and sing like the birds in the sky
I can walk on water even if the river is dry
I can do anything that my heart does desire
I can dance on the embers of a very hot fire
I can sail round the world in a one-man canoe
I know if you try, you can do these things too
It doesn’t matter if there is no rhyme or reason
We can enjoy the present of just being in season
The journey is the destination, so we are told
Well, if that is the case then it is time to act bold
