I have done many things in my time on earth
I have done many things for all they’re worth
I have loved and I have lost and I have tried
I have stood up tall and I have also cried
I have built some things and I have broken more
I have opened up and I have closed the door
I have helped a few and I have hurt some too
I have done many things and I’m not through
I have travelled roads both near and far away
I have seen the night and I have seen the day
I have felt the cold and I have felt the heat
I have known the victory and I have known defeat
I have done many things in my time on earth
I have done many things for all they’re worth
And when it’s over and my time is done
I’ll have done many things beneath the same old sun
