Our first full day in Turkey together was spent at the beach where we had some flavoured ice cream and then into the town centre for a pizza and a tour of Kaleici, the old town, where we ended up in Kasik Minuret Mosque where Emma had to wear a headscarf and which I hadn’t seen since it’s been restored. To be honest, I preferred the ruined version but I guess they done a decent job if you like the modernisation of ancient stuff.
