I saw Beth Gibbons perform solo many years ago in The Barrowland and I also saw Portishead play there which were both great gigs. Having got Beth’s new album when it came out there was no way I was going to miss her show at The Usher Hall in Edinburgh but the tickets went pretty fast and so we ended up in the Gods of the venue.
I held my camera on my knee which basically means you can hardly see anything of the gig but you can listen to it here if you wish.
Emma done a bit better than me with her mobile and captured some of the support act too, Billy Ryder Jones, who was also excellent.
Because my footage was so bad I took someone else’s footage of youtube, which I think was recorded in France so you can see and hear it better than the video above. A bit naughty I know and if they want me to remove it I will, but in the meantime you can check it out below.
