My mum got me a ticket to see Bruce Springsteen in Paris for my 21st Birthday and so I took two days on the sick and got a bus there, which was a long journey to say the least. I couldn’t afford tickets to see Bruce when he played Edinburgh last year but in the meantime I had got a job and so I bought cheap tickets to see him Sunderland, which isn’t too far away, although I did need to stop the car for a three hour kip on the way back.
