I am thinking it is time to let a dream die
Its burden has weighed heavy for too long
Years ago, I decided I was going to be famous
But my reasons for wanting were all wrong

I thought that I needed something outside
To give me a elevated sense of self-worth
But I have recently come to finally realise
That I have been perfect since before my birth

When you try and force yourself to be
Something that is not in your soul’s plan
No matter how hard you try it will fail
This is from the kindness of the hidden hand

Something otherworldly that I can’t explain
Knows what is right for you and what is not
Part of your journey may be to get lost
But one day you will remember what you forgot

Because I am sure that before we got here
We chose what our life path would be
Eventually there comes a time to stop fighting
Just accept the mission that you did agree

It may not be to shake the world by it’s foundations
You may not even meet the movers and shakers
Remember what celebrity culture does not tell you
Is a lot of those who have made it are fakers

Your speciality may be serving school dinners
Or teaching abroad in shacks with no loo

When you realise that your dream is a fallacy
Then you will get shown what you need to do

As long as it brings you inner joy and fulfilment
That is the most important thing to learn
Ask the universe how you can serve it best
It will show you the best way for you to earn

So that is what I am going to pray for tonight
I don’t even care if anyone is listening
Just by letting old stagnant hopes dissolve
Is like being born again without the christening

Cheers!
