My eternal viewpoint sees beyond the things you do
For nothing in this world is real or true
My mother thinks she’s sad, my father thinks he understands
But to live each day in freedom is all that I demand

Spiritual cancer spread like butter across the rough terrain
Asking who has got the guts to stand naked in the rain
Somehow, from somewhere, we must dig out the will to live
In our hearts I’m sure we’ll find just what we need to give

The eyes of the loving poet reflect what’s going on inside
Where you see fear, I see nowhere left to hide
I’ll do my best to show you that you are your spirit guide
Take my hand in trust and we’ll travel side by side

Do my words have any power? Only you can decide
The poet lives in hope, praying for his bride
He cannot interfere for that would not be right
The gown that he is wearing isn’t always brilliant white

But in the eyes of all god’s children a change is taking place
A shift towards a time when we live in freedom’s grace
Our eyes will see the truth that was always there to see
We can plant the seeds of insight and grow out of misery

No more dictating, mutilating or slaving to survive
Resonation is the key to a successful planet drive
Tomorrow never comes, my mother used to say
Well, if that’s true and I believe it is, then we’d better start
today
