Down and out by the disco lights of old London
I trembled by the fireside of her sweet promenade
I danced around the table of a whirlpool of entrancement
Before sitting back down with a glass of pink lemonade
The lady was calling from the top of the seaside room
Saying you better beware of the light of the silvery spoon
Chocolate drops were forming as we kissed intently
Smudging our hearts on the sleeve of the hot air balloon
We decided to stroll down the river to peacock bay
Glancing around at a tormented sitting duck
Water was glistening off the sun-drenched trout
The polar bears were clean fresh out of luck
When we got there trees were calling us closer
So we could hear what their leaves are trying to say
The ground we inherit is full of fine minerals
Smoking one can lighten your load every day
No-one believed us when we told the news of the world
They deemed it irrelevant to the great scheme of things
So we shouted it from the rooftops of the embassy
But the Queen was too busy trying on different rings
Now the place has turned sour and the trees cannot breathe
Apartment blocks have blocked our way to the sky
Cars penetrate rectangular unfinished dead ends
With the minerals gone we’ve been left high and dry
Cheers!
