My friend Mike McGregor was playing a headline show in Glasgow and asked me to come along to support him, not on stage, just in person. Kara Biggs was the support who I knew from the time I was the M.C at a Freedom Festival event where she played a couple of years prior. Here she is playing with lots of her school friends there supporting her.
I invited Mike to play at the launch of my book, Buckin’ Cunny Funt, and he said that along with a show for Steven Magners, Piston Broke night made him get back into his guitar which he hadn’t been focusing on in quite a while. He had been out doing some spots at various open mic nights and got asked to headline this night at The Classic Grand in Glasgow. He plays under the name RsSonance.
Aaron Wright and his partner Violeta who hosted some of the open mic nights that Mike played at were also there in support. They have formed a duo called, The Folk Drama, which are also really cool and worth checking out. Unfortunately they left at the end before I could get a pic of us all together.
