I tried to get tickets on Twickets to see Nile Rodgers last year but as soon as they came on for full price they were gone and a similar pattern was happening this year. However, there were some that were accepting offers and I went up to seventy pound on one bid which got turned down, bear in mind that Twickets add twenty quid on for them as the face value of them was eighty pound each.
The day before the gig some more offers came on and I started bidding at forty but unbeknown to me Emma bid forty five, which got accepted. So I told her to get them, transferred the sixty five quid and boom, we go the cheapest tickets in town.
Support came from Tom McGuire who did not have the Brassholes with him as was advertised on the poster. Instead he had a girl group of singers called Little Acres to back him and a fine job they done too.
