Every time I step out of line
The path back home is hard
You would have thought by now
I would learn to turn my card

I dare not think to wander
From my one chosen path
I cannot help but remember
When I have, I didn’t laugh

Sparkling glitter must now be swept
Under my magic-coloured jacket
No excuse is offered for promises not kept
Only I have to live with deep dark regret

The legs of time are too long
I run fast so not to lag behind
All the exit signs are wrong
Which one am I trying to find?

I dare not think to dream
About my imaginary goal
I cannot hear you scream
From the pit that is my soul

Sticky rocks I have sucked enough
Can’t you see the state my teeth are in
No formula is followed for living tough
Only I now have an olympic race to win

Cheers!
