Sara Salyers is the Director of Salvo, a civil society organisation working to restore the Scottish constitution and the Claim of Right. She has done extensive research into the 1707 Treaty of Union and argues that the sovereignty of the Scottish people was guaranteed under the Claim of Right Act of 1689 as a condition of the Treaty itself, for all time coming. In May 2025, she presented her findings alongside Professor Robert Black KC, Craig Murray and Professor Alf Baird at a landmark conference in Dunfermline which concluded that the 1707 Union is effectively inoperative.
I had the great pleasure of interviewing Sara Salyers on The Claim of the Scottish Constitution and she has come back on the show to go into more detail. Enjoy all the shows below.
Cheers!
