So many people all with conflicting thoughts
About heaven and hell and dimensional shifts
There is one above all that makes no sense to me
Why we turn our back on our natural born gifts
Forget where we are going or where we came from
We have to live our lives as an exploration of fun
What is the point grinding our shoulder to the mill
We are all going to die when all is said and done
Who do we serve by chasing the wolf from the door?
Shouldn’t we be looking for new experiences to explore?
I am not talking about achieving worldly goods and fame
More about choosing a direction that doesn’t play their game
Imagine the possible outcomes if we focused our minds
On creating a better community at the local level
Neighbours talking to each other without getting drunk
Youngsters listening to music that isn’t made by the devil
Recently I had a thought that made me think again
What if this was hell and it was our choice to come here?
A higher part of us wants to learn from the lower realms
We disassociate from it by drinking lots of beer
So if this is hell then maybe Jesus died to get us out
But he left us some principles that we would do well to heed
Surely embracing love, compassion, humility and generosity
Are better ways to live our lives than in anger and greed
Of course it isn’t easy and there are many traps to fall into
But you don’t go to university and expect a degree on a plate
We are being pushed to the brink of our inner limits
Which will force us to consider the righteous narrow gate
As we choose lives of passion and courageous acts of love
We will feel more wholesome and sin will fall away
Then we will naturally be living lives at a higher vibration
We will no longer have to listen to what the prophets say
Maybe some people are so attached to their wicked actions
That no amount of coercion will get them to change course
That is fine, let them stay and play with the devil a little more
Eventually they will find their way back to the source
