I had become friendly with Dawn Lester and David Parker and they were being interviewed by Michael O’Bernicia about their book What Really Makes You Ill. I knew he was starting to run the Speakeasy comedy nights and they said he would mention my name to him and they came back saying he would get me on when they came to Scotland.
After getting bumped from a ComCast event that I had been mentioned for getting a spot in after the first one I did for them, I was delighted when true to his word Michael offered me a spot in Edinburgh along with Jojo Sutherland and Katie Hopkins.
I don’t get the opportunity to perform in front of a full room of people often, far less perform in front of people who are ready for what I am about to hit them with and it was great to have the freedom to unleash myself with full force, without worrying about offending any snowflakes.
Here is Michael rounding up the evening after Michael, Jojo and Katie all performed brilliantly and the whole audience loved the evening unquestionably.
