Steve Hughes is an Australian comedian and former heavy metal drummer who has been doing stand-up since 1994. Before comedy he was part of the early Australian extreme metal scene, drumming in bands like Slaughter Lord and Nazxul, and even did a stint as a hard rock VJ on MTV Australia. He moved to the UK in 2002 and is now based in Manchester. He has appeared on Live at the Apollo and Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow and has performed in nearly 30 countries. His comedy is hard hitting, politically charged and pulls no punches.
