I got The Divine Comedy‘s first album way back in the day and a few of their albums over the years but never had the chance to see them live. On hearing their new album, Rainy Sunday Afternoon, I decided it was time to right that wrong.  I attempted to record the show with my camera on the floor but as I never had my glasses with me I didn’t notice that it was filming the ceiling.  That’s why there is only the audio of the majority of the show below as I didn’t want to frustrate you by watching Neil’s head appear now and again for over an hour.

When Neil asked the crowd if they were ready to give back and told everyone to get up and dance, I picked up the camera and managed to film the last part of the show in full effect. Hope you enjoy the classics.
This couple were all over each other all the way through the show and they didn’t stop when they were standing up and everyone else had sat down. If I was sat behind them I would have told them to get a room but instead I spent most of the gig trying not to get riled up by their drunken overly lovely dovey antics.
