Even when nothing much is happening I still seem to end up with quite a few photos on my camera so here’s a selection from the past few weeks.

I have been spending a lot of time in front of my computer, nothing new there, but these days I am really focusing on how I can make money online. I have heard rumours it is possible and I am determined to figure it out as trying to survive here without a steady income is pretty perilous and I’ve never been good at taking orders from assholes so it’s either sink or swim time.

I wish my son was good at taking orders from assholes though because I tell him to give me peace when I am working but he would rather decorate me like I’m some kind of Ginger Xmas Tree. He found this highly amusing and I was too tired to resist.

I am trying to teach him how to use the world as his creative palette and to be observant of the things around him that most people take for granted so I get him to help me take photos of me with the cartoons on Nursery school walls….that is my excuse anyway.

I also get sick of him asking me for things everytime we pass a local shop as if I am made of money. We had spent over an hour at Aynur’s grandma for the Kurban Bayram festival where he never asked for a drink but as we were walking for the bus home all of a sudden he is incredibly thirsty.

I told him to wait until he got home as I had plenty of water there and that 50 kuruş was better in my pocket than the shops. As you can see he was less than impressed. Daddies rules are different to Mummies as I was brought up on the ‘I wants don’t get’ philosophy, which to be fair I fucking hated myself. It’s funny how we turn into our parents.

On my 44th birthday (I know, I don’t look a day over 43 eh), I found myself in Lara visiting a Dentist. While I was waiting for him to open I noticed this Karate school.

I say that if I had the money I would take him there as they may teach him some cool Zen philosophies but in reality he tries out his Karate kicks on me often enough without going somewhere to perfect them before using me as his sparring dummy. I thought these wee statues were pretty cool though.

This on the other hand I didn’t find this very cool. The logo for this Chicken selling chain is a Chicken all sexed up. I should have took a photo of the full logo so you could see the bottom half. I think we should at least show a bit of respect to the animal you are going to eat.

I thought that was the Sexiest chicken shop logo in the world, until I found this one.

Speaking of Chicken, later that night I went with my wife to see my friend Rusty play in his new band Soul Drive at Raven Pub and afterwards we went for some soup and I got the Tavuk (chicken).

A couple of days later Aynur brought a special Banana into my computer room and I had to make a video about it.

I then made a sandwich with the result. My father couldn’t believe that I liked jam and banana sandwiches but my son also likes them so I am not alone.

I noticed that for a few weeks there seemed to be what I thought were lots of chemtrails in the sky. I posted a picture of them on Twitter and someone informed me that it was a contrail. However, I am not so sure as they stayed up there for hours.

That concludes this little round up of the past couple of weeks.
