I don’t want to send my son to school
My wife thinks I am a complete fool
She says, “He needs to get educated”
I say, “More like indoctrinated”
“But he needs to go or he won’t get a job”
“So let’s get him brainwashed by the mob?”
“So you think the government is deprave?”
“Yeah and they want to make our boy a slave”
“But everyone has to go, that’s the norm”
“Yeah, that’s why they all wear a uniform”
“You read too much crap on the net”
“Yeah, while you sit in front of the TV set”
“But how will he learn to read and write?”
“Say the alphabet, get him to recite”
“But I am not a qualified teacher”
“Pessimism is not your most attractive feature”
“You are the one who thinks everything is bad”
“I am a realist, that doesn’t make me mad”
“If he doesn’t go to school he won’t get into university”
“Then to make a living he can demonstrate diversity”
“Can he still sit exams and gain qualifications?”
“Sure, but why are you lowering his expectations?”
“What are you talking about, you are bloody stupid?”
“Well, I must be, I married you my cupid”
“Why don’t you want what is best for your child?”
“Your implied assumptions just make me riled”
“What do you mean? He deserves the best”
“I don’t have time to teach him”, I half-jokingly jest
“Why what are you doing with your time?”
“Trying to be an individual, is that a crime?”
“Well you are not making any money, so that’s a farce”
“You went to university, why don’t you get off your arse?”
“I am too busy being a housewife to start work”
“Well then educate your boy and stop being a jerk”
“How are you going to put food on the table?”
“By turning our normal dialogue into a fable”
“Oh yeah? Well don’t expect me to endorse”
“Don’t worry, all I want from you is a divorce”
“What and leave your child without a father?”
“Well at least I wouldn’t have to listen to you blather”
“But I am the one talking sense, I’m his mother”
“But you seem quite taken in with Big Brother”
“Don’t you dare slag off my favourite program”
“See what I mean?Your mind is a fucking sham”
This is the average conversation in our house
Every night on different subjects with my spouse
She says black and I say white, at the end of the day
Apparently, I’m always wrong and she’s always right
Cheers!
