I managed to get last minute tickets to see Vieux Farka Toure at the Garage in Glasgow and by God, I’m glad I did. The support was the excellent India Blue who managed to quieten the chatty crowd down by drawing them in with her soft vocals and then showing off her amazing pipes and songs to match.
As for Vieux Farka Touré, well to say he was impressive is a massive understatement. He is seriously shit hot on the guitar and it seems like he was born to play and given the fact that his father is the legendary Ali Farka Touré, perhaps he was!
